Current Conditions:Thank you for visiting our website!
Here you will find information concerning our church and its various ministries. We hope you find your time spent here a blessing. Our church is a warm and loving congregation, and we want you to feel comfortable and at liberty to call on us for anything you need. Feel free to browse through the various areas of our website and learn about our worship opportunities, ministry opportunities, outreach, educational and fellowship possibilities.
If you are considering relocating to our area, we would love to have you be our guest for Sunday School at 9:45 am and worship at 8:30 am or 10:30 am. Please introduce yourself to us and join us between worship services for our coffee hour and education classes for all ages.
When you visit our church, you will find:
Together in Ministry,
Pastor Mike
Beginning soon we will be transitioning our first service from Setting 3 to Setting 4. As has been done in the past, we will do so gradually, adding new songs in the liturgy - one per Sunday, while using our current Setting 3 for other musical pieces.
This year's confirmation project will be making fleece blankets for Project Linus. We are asking the congregation for assistance in this project. Please consider donating fleece for these blankets. You can continue bringing fleece in January. Contact Rick Strong if you have questions or if you want to donate fleece. Project Linus wants the fleece to be 1 1/2 yards of printed fleece for the front of each blanket and 1 1/2 yards of solid color for the back of each blanket. Once they are completed, we will have a dedication at worship.
SCHEDULING A MEETING?
We need your help! It is extremely important that members contact Nannette in the office to be sure that we can get your meeting, time and place on the schedule. If the meeting is on a regular schedule - let us know. If the meeting is a one time situation - let us know. The church is a very busy place - more than many folks realize. We need your help so that we can accomodate as many groups as possible as we go about our work in the Kingdom. Thanks!
Did you not find what you wanted? Something not clear? Let us know how we can improve the site at slutheran6386@msn.com
This year's congregational meeting will be held on Sunday, January 29th. We will have lunch at 11:30 am, with the meeting beginning at 12:30 pm. Please have your reports in by Jan 15, as reports need to be made available to the congregation by Jan 22nd, 2012. The youth are planning to serve lunch as a fundraiser. The menu will be a sub sandwich provided by the youth and salads that the families of the youth will provide. Along with brownies and ice cream. A free will offering will be requested. Contact Rick Strong if you are able to help. Thank you!
Are you ready to relay? Well, maybe not this time of year...but Relay for Life of Dodge County will be held on June 1-2 at Memorial Field. Cancer does not sleep and neither do we! We are again forming the "Luther's Lifesavers". This year, we really want to honor our survivors and caregivers. YOU are the reason we relay. Please consider joining our team this year. We will be developing some upcoming fund raisers...details to follow. Please help us to celebrate more birthdays by fighting back against cancer. we will not be done until NO ONE has tohear the words..."You have cancer." Thank you for your continued support...Jaki Heinrich - 402.727.1980 and Diane Wilson -402.727.9367.
Feb. 15 is the deadline for reserving space for the 2012 Confirmation Experience, or we may risk losing our unused spots after that date. Please submit your camper's registration(s) as soon as possible. After Feb. 15, any unused spaces may be given away if there is someone on a waiting list for our session. 2012 camp brochures and promotional materials will be sent out to all congregations in the near future. If you need a registration form for immediate use, you may download one from our website at www.caroljoyholling.org. Salem has signed up for the week of June 3-8. The cost has gone up this year. So each family will need to pay $130 of the $380 cost. Salem will pay the balance for each youth registered. If you have any questions, please contact Rick Strong @ 402.721.6158.
